Fishing Report

Trinity River

-Clear Sunny Day's-

Most Fish are found in Deep run's and deep hole's approximately 6-25ft deep. The fish will hold there through out the day, until night and move up river to the next deep hole by morning.

-Cloudy & Rainy Day's-

A lot of fish are found running between deep holes approximately 1-6ft deep which in turn makes the fish a bit more accessible with waders's and a fly rod.

Over all the river is fishing good, watch the weather and fly selection. Winter steelhead fishing is a blast the key to having fun is to stay warm; wader's and rain jacket with lot's of layer's is a must!!

Lower Sacramento River

For Now, Most of the Resident Rainbow's are being found on and behide the Red's 1-10 ft deep. Within the next 2-4 weeks they will be moving back into deeper water 5-20 ft deep as the Salmon die back.

The River fish's best when the weather and flows have been consistant for 2 or more days.

The egg bite is starting to slow down, Caddis Patterns #14-18 and Midge Pattern's #16-20, Have been producing lot's of fish.

Sacramento River Flows

Note: Remember When the Egg bite slows down and trout move from the red's they have real random eating habbits. Have a good assortment of flies and egg pattern's! Sometimes you will fish 10 different patterns and have fish all day long with no special pattern. Bascailly at this time they are under debate on what is best to eat. Until the Salmon Egg bite fall's out completly.
